We passed through NorCal again and were reminded how incredible it is. We lived in Los Angeles for 24 years before venturing up to see The Redwoods. We were idiots for waiting that long. Seriously.

We handed over the house keys and are on the loose. With an unexpected (but not at all surprising) freeway shutdown and a dog that refuses to do her business, our first leg was a total grind.
