From Salty Slums to Glamping Fun

This canyon floor was cleaner than Mia’s apartment.

Listen to full episode :

Our rough entry into Salt Lake last week got so much worse. There's just no other way to say it... Mia's new apartment that she was SO EXCITED to move into is owned by a slumlord. It was rough 2 days, especially for James. By the time we leave SLC, he was beside himself with frustration but Denise, always a gal who is up for a fun time, saves the day by booking a glamping trip for her man at @UnderCanvas and hot damn, if that didn't lift his spirits!

This episode is PACKED with adventures from Park City, Sundance and the regal Zion National Park. We also get into why people hate THE CALIFORNIANS... until they meet our wallets, anyway. In this episode money talks and so do we. You asked for more content and you got your wish!

This is the 2nd of 2 Salt Lake episodes. See below for our favorite Utah spots.

We didn't get to go many places this time, you know, given the whole apartment fiasco and all that. But here are some of our Utah favorites:

Salt Lake City:

Chile Tepin--killer mexican food

Taqueria 27--great tacos

Park Cafe--great breakfast but always a wait. Pro tip: Kill some time across the street in Liberty Park because it's a great one.

Hub and Spoke--breakfast when Park Cafe is just too long a wait.

Big Mountain Barbell--text them and Venmo them and get your freaking lift on for $20/day with no BS.

Park City:

The Eating Establishment--great staff, great food!

Don’t forget to visit the Olympic Training Center. It’s hard to miss it on your right side if you’re driving up from SLC. The Olympic symbols on the slope call your name.

Sundance:

Anywhere. Park and walk and enjoy. They have BBQ and a cafe and everything Robert Redford envisioned. It's not an expensive day if you don't want it be, either!

Zion:

Under Canvas--glamping at it's finest. Top notch food and service. The view from almost any tent is SPECTACULAR.

Hike The Narrows, but rent the boots and a stick!

Canyon Overlook is amazing but it's a climb and not for those fearful of heights.

Kolob Reservoir--Worth the drive just for the view. Watch the mountains change to meadows, watch the meadows stop at the lake!
