Quebec City: Bienvenues and Lots of Tattoos

We didn’t speak a lick of French and yet they fed us all week.

Listen to the full episode:

We loved Montreal so much we swore we’re returning in 2024, but it was time to go deeper into Canada than we’ve ever been. Here’s your Quebec City, Canada recap! We were instantly met with a motley crew, but soon we discovered the true, old world European charm of the city, with its cobblestone streets and fortified walls. The Upper City and Citadel are over 400 years old, but don’t look a day over 200. Quebec City definitely had more of a laidback vibe and blue collar feel, which was a great juxtaposition against it’s French village atmosphere. We of course wined and dined at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac hotel, and explored the edgy St. Roch neighborhood, all while learning about Quebec's high taxes, socialized medicine, and more. Of course, this is Part 2 of our Canadian vacation with our buddy, Patrick (see Episode 66 for more info) and we must say, he’s got a knack for finding some damn cool places to visit!
